Artist Spotlight – Joey + Rory

August 2011-

Husband and wife Rory Lee Feek and Joey Martin Feek together make up the duo that is simply, Joey + Rory. Staring as a songwriter, Rory has written songs for country artists like Blake Shelton, Clay Walker, and Easton Corbin. Joey+Rory together got their start on CMT’s Can You Duet where they were third place finalists. After being eliminated, the duo signed with Sugar Hill Records and shortly released their debut single “Cheater, Cheater.” Their debut album, “The Life of a Song,” was released October 28, 2008 and debuted at #10 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart.

Their second album, appropriately titled “Album Number Two,” was released in 2010 with their lead single “This Song’s For You” released in July of that year. The song is a duet with Zac Brown Band and was written for the fans and as a thank you for attending their concerts. (See the music video below)

The duo has been nominated for multiple Acadamy of Country Music Awards and Country Music Association (CMA) Awards and won the CMA award for Top New Vocal Duo of the Year in 2010.
