New England’s Premier Flower Show, certainly a highlight of Topsfield Fair! On exhibit are entries submitted by everyone from amateurs to professionals, children’s classes, juniors, and adults! Featuring landscape gardens by local nurseries and greenhouses, don’t miss the Bonsai display, window boxes, wreaths, and florist displays.
We invite all exhibitors to enter our flower show amateur classes. Please feel free to exhibit flowers other than those listed on the entry forms. Exhibits not provided for in the schedule shall receive such recognition as their merits may warrant. The flower display is often accompanied by tranquil music, with live performances on the weekends.
The Junior Fruit, Vegetables and Decorative department tries to get the entire family participating at the fair. Whether you want to display your own grown vegetables, decorate a pumpkin, create a veggie creature, show your artistic ability with a poster or create a wall hanging we have someway for you share your talents. We have classes offered for every age group (4yrs-100yrs old) including some classes for troops, clubs, schools or families. So don’t just come to the fair; join our fair family by participating.
We offer ribbons, prize money, and medals for participants who, for example, have the best educational exhibit, win the most 1st placed ribbons, show the most team spirit or simply have the best vegetable plate in the show. Honestly, the best prize is the pride you feel knowing your creation is being seen by thousands. You are truly part of Topsfield Fair.
The judging criteria for vegetables and fruit include uniformity of size, shape and color and trueness to type. Decorated pumpkins, veggie creatures, posters and wreaths are judged for creativity, execution, appropriateness to age and set-up participation, including effective use of a given theme.
