Topsfield Fair’s ABC

Do you remember learning  your ABC’s in school? Well it’s  that time again…well at least  time for school again. The Topsfield Fair wanted to congratulate everyone on completing their second week of school this year and get you even more excited about this year’s fair with everyone’s favorite song…the ABC’s.


A – wesome food! This year’s Topsfield Fair theme is ALL ABOUT THE FOOD!




 B – ubble gum in its fried form.  Yep, that’s right we’re serving fried bubble gum this year at the All American Funnel Cake Booth. Be sure to stop by and give it a try! Let us know what you think!



C- razy Car Shows. Topsfield Fair is hosting two car shows in the Arena. You can see just about everything get smashed, crashed and bashed at the Demolition Derby and watch cars race it out at our Champion Double Figure 8 Car Race. 


D – arn Cool Demonstrations! Take a walk down our Demonstration lane and enjoy up close demos on shoemaking, blacksmithing, cider making, and more!



E- lephant Rides. Come check out our elephant friend, Beulah.



F – arm Animals. The Topsfield Fair has all types of amazing animals from goats, to pigs, to horses, to cows, to even rabbits! Come see the animals and even pet some at our petting zoo.



G – iant Pumpkins. Who needs a giant peach when you can have a giant pumpkin? Come to our pumpkin weighing contest and our vegetable barn and see some of the biggest pumpkins in your life! The largest one we’ve ever had at the fair weighed 1,689lbs! That was a big pumpkin pie.


H – ive Heaven. Come to our Bee House and visit our 16,000 honey bees housed in our 4 observation hives. Now that’s a lot of honey!


I – mpossible Clowns. Yes, the rude clown is back again this year. Go see him and maybe this year you’ll finally get to dunk that sucker.



J – unior rides. It doesn’t matter how old or how small you are there are fun rides here at the Topsfield Fair for everyone, even the little ones. We have Kiddy Land for the younger kids, and the Midway for older kids and adults!



K – ids under the age of 8 are free! If you have a child that’s under 8 years old, thank them for saving you money, because anyone that’s 8 or younger gets free admission to the fair! 


L – ive Concerts. We have many live concerts throughout the Fair this year including Hot Chelle Rae, Bridget Mendler , Austin Mahone, John Michael Montgomery, and Frankie Avalon. Be sure to grab a flyer to see  the schedule of all of our the concerts, or check out the whole schedule online!


M –ake a face statement! Visit our face painting booths and transform your face from a human to a tiger or anything else you want. Take a picture of yourself afterwards too and post it on our Facebook.  It’ll make a great profile picture for your Facebook.

N – ews Flashes. We’re going digital! The Topsfield Fair’s Facebook, Twitter, and Blog will keep you posted on all the latest news at the fair. We won’t let you miss a thing!


O – lder Generations. Bring grandma and grandpa to the fair this year on senior citizen day! If they’re over the age of 62 they get in for a discounted price of $8!



P –oultry Parties! Come and visit our Poultry Barn and see the 28 different kinds of chickens we have. How do you like your eggs because we hatch approximately 1,200 eggs during the Fair every year.


Q – uality products. We have many interesting booths here at the Topsfield Fair ranging from handmade quilts to homemade foods. You never know what you’ll find at the Fair!


 R – ead and Win. The Topsfield Fair is a strong supporter of education and reading is a big part of learning. If you participated in our annual Read and Win challenge,  you get free ride tickets and admission. Congratulations, and keep on reading! If you didn’t participate we invite you to participate next year. Talk to your local library and read your way to the Fair!


S – atisfy Your Sweet Tooth. The Topsfield Fair has every sweet treat imaginable. From cotton candy, to caramel and candy apples, even sugary fried dough. This year we have some new treats as well including chocolate covered bacon and fried strawberry marshmallows. Don’t miss these delicious delicacies.

T – ractor Shows. We host antique tractor shows in the Arena. Come see over 100 tractors pump some iron (a.k.a pull some heavy weights). Tractors like to stay in shape too!


U – nbelievable Horse Shows. Here at the Topsfield Fair we have many amazing horse shows. We have draft horse shows, royal Canadian mounted police horse shows, and much more. Don’t miss out on watching the most graceful animal perform live right in front of you.

V – olunteer Work. The Topsfield Fair is not only enjoyable but it’s also a great way to do some community service work. We really rely on our many volunteers to help operate the Fair every day. Thanks to everyone who has ever volunteered at the Fair and for those that are going to this year. We really appreciate your help!


W – eekend Activities. We take the stress out of figuring out that to do with your family and friends over the weekend. Everything you could ever need to have a good time is here at the Topsfield Fair!



X – enodochial (Hospitable) Workers. We have many workers on the fairgrounds and in the administration office that are happy to assist you if you have any questions about the Fair or the 2012 Topsfield Fair schedule.


Y – ummy Meals. The Topsfield Fair doesn’t only just serve dessert. We also serve scrumptious turkey legs, steak and cheese sandwiches, German Fries, hamburgers, hotdogs, and more. Any food you could ever imagine is at the Fair!


Z – ealous Fair Fans.  Without you Fair Goers, there wouldn’t be a fair! We love seeing you come back every year and we welcome all first timers as well. We look forward to seeing everybody at the 2012 Topsfield Fair.
