Ready? Set?! GO!!

This year, we will be hosting our first annual 5K Road Race! Yes, that’s right; you may now RACE to the fair! We are looking forward to a great turn out, as all proceeds will go towards the Essex Agricultural Society’s College Scholarship Fund. The race will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2012 on our fairgrounds. Runners are to arrive at check in at 8 AM, and the race will begin promptly at 10 AM.

Interested in getting some exercise and enjoying an afternoon of music and food? Then hurry and register online on our website (www.topsfieldfair.org) or submit a paper entry form to our office along with a $25.00 entry fee (may be made payable by credit card, cash, or check). The entry fee covers your participation in the race, a tee shirt (limited to the first 200 individuals to register), as well as food, refreshments, and a donation to the College Scholarship. BUT WAIT—there is more! The first 25 runners to register will also receive a free admission ticket to the 2012 Topsfield Fair!

Interested in being involved in our first ever 5K challenge, but would prefer to contribute from the sidelines? We are also looking for volunteers to help us on grounds during and before the race. Please contact our office for more details if volunteering at this event interests you.

We hope to see all you runners, spectators, and volunteers at our very first Annual 5K Road race. With the race falling just a mere five days before opening day, what better way to kick-off the 2012 season then a good race to the fair!
