It’s Now or Never!
This week’s 100DOP Question is: “Will you be exhibiting with us this year?”
Deadlines for entries forms (and even some actual entries) will be here soon! With only 72 days until the 2013 Topsfield Fair, it is hard to believe there is only two weeks until the first Exhibitor’s Handbook deadline.
The first competition deadline is the Amateur Winemaking and Wine Label design contest. Entries are to be delivered to the Topsfield Fair Administration Building or Alfalfa Farm, 267 Rowley Bridge Road, Topsfield, MA 01983. The deadline for this department is Wednesday, August 7th, and you can find all of the rules, regulations, and scoring criteria online.
By the time we get to September 1st, four more deadlines will be gone: the 4-H Club Exhibits and Contests (August 15th), Alpaca Exhibition & Show (August 29th), Grange Photography Contest (August 30th), and Poultry Exhibition (August 30th). If you enjoy photography and agriculture, the Grange Photography Contest is perfect for you! All photos must have been taken within the previous fair year and must depict an aspect of Massachusetts’ agriculture. Head out to your local farm, and take some shots!
After the first week in September, the deadlines come even more quickly – and in bulk! September 9th is the deadline for most of the Coolidge Hall exhibits (Canning, Crafts, and Fine Arts). Many other departments have deadlines in September including the ADGA Open Senior & Junior Doe Shows, Open Sheep Show, Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off, 4-H Rabbit & Cavy Show, Vegetable Exhibition, Draft Horse Show, Flower Show, and more!
The Junior Fruit & Vegetable Department, which features some of our Fan’s favorite departments such as Veggie Creatures and Decorative Pumpkins, has a deadline of September 16th.
You can find all of the deadlines, rules, and regulations by visiting the Exhibitor’s Handbook section on our website, or clicking here. Feel free to comment below or contact us if you have any questions! We hope to see you at the Fair and can’t wait to see what you enter!
