Artist Spotlight – Randy Houser

August 2011-

Randy Houser was born with musical talent in his blood. His father played at small venues around Lake, Mississippi, Randy’s hometown, and greatly influenced his son. From a young age, Randy knew he wanted to be a musician, and at only 13 years old, he started his first band.

He continued performing through college until 2002 when he moved to Nashville in hopes to start a songwriting career.  Popular Country star Trace Adkins recorded “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk”, one of the first songs Houser co-wrote.  Astounded by the success of this song, Houser made the decision to go back to performing.  He had a minor label deal and performed locally in Nashville, but didn’t meet true triumph until 2008.

Finally, he conquered his dream and signed a deal with Universal South Records. “Anything Goes”, his debut album, featured his “Boots On”, a song that quickly reached a spot in his top ten hits. “Boots On” reached number two on the U.S. Hot Country Songs.

Since then, he has released a second album, entitled “They Call Me Cadillac” and many new singles such as “I’m All About It” and “A Man Like Me.” “In God’s Time”, a single he released in early 2011, has fans anxiously anticipating a third album, which he is currently working on.

As his career heats up, Country Fans are expecting big things from Randy.
