2007 American Honey Princess

Katie Klett

Katie Klett is the 20-year-old daughter of Bill and Wendy Klett of Jamestown, ND.  Katie is a sophomore at the University of Minnesota, where she is studying Scandinavian languages and entomology.  At school, Katie is active in the National Honor Society and the Tandum Plus Foreign Language Conversation Group.  Prior to being selected as the American Honey Princess, Katie served as the 2006 North Dakota Honey Queen.  In this role, she promoted the honey industry at fairs, festivals, and educational events, via television and radio interviews, and in schools. Katie is spending this year promoting the beekeeping industry throughout the United States in a wide variety of venues.  She will be appearing in the Topsfield Fair Opening Day Parade and in the Beekeeping Building beginning Saturday, September 29 through Thursday, October 4.  She may also be seen touring the fairgrounds during her visit.
