Green Pavilion

Visitors are welcome to visit the 3rd Annual Green Pavilion on October 3-5 in the Fair's Show Tent. Sponsored by EBSCO of Ipswich (careers.ebscohost.com), the tent will preview eco-friendly companies and organizations in Essex County. EBSCO, Coca Cola, Hiltz Waste Disposal of Gloucester and Northeast Nursery are among the eco-friendly groups that will be taking part. Hiltz will have information on the recycling program it conducts every year at the fair - cans, bottles, and cardboard. This year food wastes will all be recycled; the food waste will go to Brick Farm in Hamilton to be turned into compost and small bags of compost will be handed out at the pavilion from last year. The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection is taking part again this year to share how people can make a difference right in their own homes. A new exhibitor this year will include Coca Cola. Coca Cola will educate guests how they've made a commitment to making a positive difference in their efforts of recycling and reducing the company's carbon footprint.
