Rules and Regulations
- All exhibitors must be between the ages of 7-18 as of January 1, 2013. (7 year olds are considered Clover Buds.)
- Only hornless animals may be shown.
- They may arrive on the fairgrounds after 6:00pm, Friday October 11th, but must arrive before 9:00am, Saturday October 12th. Animals must remain in place until 5:00pm or until the end of the show, whichever comes later by penalty of premium loss.
- Entry fees MUST accompany entry forms. Checks made payable to Topsfield Fair, and mailed to: Topsfield Fair, P.O. Box 134, Topsfield, MA 01983, to be received by September 24th. No late entries will be accepted.
- ABSOLUTELY NO DAY OF SHOW ENTRIES ACCEPTED.
- All animals shown must be owned or leased by exhibitor. Each exhibitor may show no more than 2 animals per class and no more than 8 total.
- Classes XYZ are open only to currently enrolled 4-H members and all 3 must be entered.
- Type classes will include purebreds, recorded grades and non-recorded grades that are true to type.
- Health papers must be included with entry form and entry fees or mailed/faxed to the fairgrounds on or before October 1st, 2013.
- Any animal suspect of disease will be removed from the area immediately and other animals with it as well and entries forfeited.
- The management will use care and diligence for the safety and health of the animals. The committee is not liable for loss, injury or damage.
- Pens will be supplied for each exhibitor.
- The decision of the judge will be final.
- Classes XYZ will be judged and awarded premiums through 6th place, and/or awarded rosettes, prizes and/or ribbons.
- Herdsmanship - will be awarded to the farm or family or exhibitor as described on ADGA Herdsman score card - $50 first place, $25 runner-up. The animals must be cared for entirely by the youth or 4-H'er to qualify for herdmanship.
- All milk must be removed from grounds by exhibitor or dumped in marked barrels provided only for milk removal.

** Fitting Classes -- animals are to be fit solely by exhibitor (except with clover buds where minimal help is understood) any evidence of foul play will result in disqualification.
Please enclose an entry of $5.00 per animal to be shown. An exhibitor may enter each specialty division only once. All specialty classes must be pre-entered.

Poster Contest
Class: P1 Poster
The theme is "I Love My Goat or Goat Products"
- Each exhibitor may enter only one poster.
- Posters must be delivered to Main Office by 5:00 PM on Friday, September 27, 2013.
- Goat oriented, poster board size picture, so that it may be seen when hung in the building.
- Premiums will be awarded as for the other classes.

All first place winners in Classes X,Y, and Z are automatically entered into the Championship of that class, for which a trophy is awarded.
